Additional Information: “The Lahloo” was built in 1867 by Robert Steele & Company. “The Lahloo” made her maiden voyage on the 24th of July. Under her Captain John Smith‚ she took part in many of the great races between tea clippers on the exciting run from China to England. “The Lahloo” was 191 feet in length with a registered tonnage of 779 tons and was particularly fast in light breezes. She made the fastest time of any clipper in 1869 by completing the return voyage
